By using KeyPass X, you agree to these terms and to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement that applies to apps obtained through the App Store. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms do not limit non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
KeyPass X is a password manager for KeePass (KDBX) files on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch. It has no account and no developer-operated service; your vaults are files you own and keep.
You are responsible for your master password, key files, and backups. A vault cannot be opened or recovered without them, and the developer has no way to reset or recover a master password. Keep a copy of important vaults outside the app.
The app reads and writes KDBX 4 and opens KDBX 3 read-only. Features of other KeePass clients that the app does not understand are preserved where possible, and vaults with unrecognized data open read-only to protect them. Editing the same vault from several apps or devices at once can create conflicting versions; resolve them before continuing.
iCloud Drive, iCloud Keychain, CloudKit, Password AutoFill, and Apple Watch features depend on Apple’s services and your Apple Account and are subject to Apple’s terms. Their availability, speed, and limits are controlled by Apple.
The apps may be updated, changed, interrupted, or discontinued. Because your vaults are standard KDBX files, they remain usable with other KeePass-compatible software.
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for lost or inaccessible data, including vaults locked by a forgotten master password, or for damages arising from use of the app or of Apple’s services. Liability is not excluded where applicable law does not allow exclusion.
Material changes will be reflected in the terms shown in the app and on this page, with an updated effective date.
